How it works: The tool uses pdf-lib to draw Helvetica text at your chosen position on every page. The numbers are rendered as vector text directly into the PDF — not as an image — so they remain crisp at any zoom level and are selectable.
Formats: Choose plain numbers (1, 2, 3) for clean minimal documents, “Page N” for formal reports, or “N of Total” for documents where the reader needs to know how many pages remain.
Starting number: Set a starting number higher than 1 when your PDF is part of a larger document and should continue the page count from where a previous section left off.
