How to Convert PDF to JPG
- 1
Upload your PDF
Click the upload zone or drag and drop your PDF. A preview of the first page appears immediately. Your file stays on your device.
- 2
Set image quality
Use the quality slider to balance image sharpness against file size. 90% is a good default; lower values produce smaller files.
- 3
Convert and download
Click "Convert to JPG". Each page becomes a separate JPG file. Multiple pages are bundled into a ZIP archive for a single download.
Converting a PDF to JPG images lets you embed pages in presentations, share individual pages as images, or use them anywhere a PDF is not accepted. The want2convert PDF to JPG tool renders every page at high resolution entirely inside your browser โ no upload, no waiting for a server, no account required.
How it works: The tool uses pdfjs-dist(the rendering engine behind Firefox's built-in PDF viewer) to draw each page onto an HTML canvas at 2ร scale. That canvas is then exported as a JPEG image at the quality level you select. 2ร scale gives approximately 150 DPI for a standard US Letter page โ enough for most screen and print uses.
Quality slider: Drag the slider to the right for crisper images with larger file sizes, or to the left for smaller files with slightly more compression artefacts. 90% is a good starting point that most viewers cannot distinguish from 100%.
Multi-page PDFs: Every page is converted. If your PDF has more than one page, the resulting JPG files are packaged into a single ZIP archive. Each file is named after the original PDF with a page number appended, so you can easily identify which image corresponds to which page.
Need to convert just one page? Use the Split PDF tool to extract that page first, then convert here. For lossless images, try the PDF to PNG tool instead.
